Navigating Insurance and Payment Options

At Neighborhood Health, our priority is to ensure you receive the best care possible without the fear of being denied due to financial constraints. We understand that healthcare costs can be a burden, which is why we accept various payment and insurance options tailored to your unique circumstances. (Discuss if inability to pay…)

Flexible Payment Options

We are here to assist you with your payment options! If you do not have insurance coverage, reach out for a cost estimate before receiving any treatment. Our team will work with their manager to provide you with this information. 

  • Payment Plans: Flexible payment plans can be arranged to spread out costs over time, reducing the immediate financial burden.
  • Sliding Fee Scale: We understand that affordability is important, and we may be able to reduce your fees. To evaluate the level of assistance we can offer, please share details regarding your income and family size. Acceptable documentation includes a pay stub, tax return, or other relevant papers.
  • Cash: Cash payments are also accepted for those who prefer traditional methods.
  • Credit and Debit Cards: Major credit and debit cards are accepted for convenience and ease.

** If you are currently experiencing homelessness, please let us know; we can offer further reductions if you provide appropriate proof. Your well-being is our priority!


Insurance Options

Patients can access a variety of insurance options to suit their individual needs. Most major insurance providers are accepted, ensuring you have the flexibility to choose what best fits your coverage requirements. This includes but is not limited to:

  • TennCare: We accept all TennCare plans, including United Healthcare, WellPoint, Cover Kids, and Blue Cross/Blue Shield. If you qualify, we can also help you sign up for TennCare or CoverKids.
  • Private/Commercial Insurance and Managed Care Plans: Neighborhood Health accepts most plans.
  • Medicare: Neighborhood Health also accepts Advantage plans.

It’s always recommended to contact your insurance provider to confirm that your specific plan covers the required services.

Neighborhood Health offers complimentary in-person assistance through patient navigators who can help you enroll in health insurance options. You might be eligible for coverage via the Health Insurance Marketplace or TennCare. Our patient navigators can also determine your eligibility for programs that provide financial aid for medications and are available to assist with re-enrollment in TennCare. 

Please inform our front desk staff if you wish to consult with a patient navigator. We offer patient navigator sessions at no cost to patients. We have Spanish-speaking navigators on hand and offer appointments during evenings and Saturdays. To schedule an appointment, contact us at 615-227-3000.

All you need to pay your bill is the Bill Pay Code and the Amount Due printed on your statement.
